Structured Capital, Disciplined Execution

What We Do

We focus on three core areas: Business Lending, Grants and Incentives, and New Markets Tax Credits for larger and more complex transactions. Our work is centered on helping clients identify, structure, and secure the right mix of capital sources to support growth, expansion, redevelopment, and other strategic initiatives. By combining practical financing expertise with a strong understanding of public and private funding tools, we help clients navigate complex opportunities and bring projects to fruition efficiently and effectively.

We help small businesses secure financing through a trusted network of lending partners. Loan rates typically range from Prime (currently 6.75%) to Prime plus 3.00% (9.75%), depending on the specifics of the borrower and transaction. You pay no fee to us, as we are compensated directly by the lenders we represent. Most working capital loans have terms of 7 to 10 years, and can be funded in as little as 7 days.

Grants and Incentives

Our grants and incentives work is centered on helping public, private-sector and non-profit clients identify, structure, and secure the public funding and incentive tools that make complex projects and initiatives feasible. Drawing on nearly 30 years of experience and a track record that includes close to $1 billion in grants, tax credits, guaranteed loans, and incentives, we align federal, state, and local programs with each project’s financing strategy, whether through a targeted grant pursuit, a layered capital stack, or a broader incentive package. Our experience spans New Markets Tax Credits, CDFI and community development programs, and competitive funding from agencies such as EDA, USDOT, USDA, HUD, and DOL, with recent results including a $4.5 million EDA Disaster Supplemental award and $10 million in natural gas infrastructure funding.

New Markets Tax Credits

The New Markets Tax Credit Program (NMTC), created by the Community Renewal Tax Relief Act of 2000, provides investors with a 39% federal income tax credit over seven years for investments in low-income communities, which generally means a census tract with a poverty rate of at least 20%. It is commonly used for operating business finance, commercial and industrial real estate, and other facilities.

In a typical structure, the tax credits are purchased by investors at a discount, providing “free equity” to your project.

There is over 20 years of transaction history in this program, with nearly $80 billion of transactions finalized. We have successfully used NMTC for our clients in manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications, and hospitality. SBLI Capital f/k/a Feduccia & Company has been involved with NMTC since the program’s inception, including authoring some of the very first allocation applications and closing some of the first transactions.

Our NMTC services include:

  • Project evaluation

  • Financial structuring

  • Marketing

  • Compliance
